It's taken a while but we deem it worth the wait.
Big thanks go to Mike of DesignerBaby for putting all this together for us.
Many thanks go to those who came down to the opening night of Invisible Spaces by Daisuke Samejima.
A heady mix of culture and fun was had by all and whilst not everyone could agree on the lingering sentiments of the work, everyone was in accord over one thing: the quality of the pieces and the technical merit behind them. The words “cho sugoine” spring to mind (or hugely impressive for those who don’t speak Japanese.)
If you didn’t make it down, you’ve got until the December 5th to do so. And if you want our opinion, you probably want to do that sooner rather than later.
The show features in the current issue of Design Week.

gallery 7 welcomes Daisuke Samejima later this month for his first solo show in the UK.
Daisuke arrives with a host of accolades to his name - most notably the Wonderwall 2002 Grand Prix. If you've found yourself in the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo in the last year, you will no doubt have seen his work there.
The show represents a change of pace for the gallery as we move from the dense urban landscapes of Chris Dent's NY in Print, to the empty, often lonely, suburban world of Daisuke's work.
Whilst the images are unquestionably Tokyo, there's enough here to move this from the particular to the universal. If you're a suburban boy or girl you will no doubt recognise the constructed tranquility that shapes these pieces. Daisuke captures brilliantly the absurdity of this space and expresses it with the artistic compassion of the outsider looking in. The effect is charming and benevolent.
All the pieces, oil paintings on a grand scale, have been created exclusively for the show.
The exhibition runs from October 28 until December 5. If you'd like to come to the private view please email gallery7@supersuperficial.com. Places are limited so it's first come first serve.
Chris Dent really made gallery7 his own last night as he began his epic installation of New York City’s skyline, spanning the space’s rear wall. All eyes were on Chris, as he worked rigorously in front of an eager audience. His drawing began to take shape just hours in to the event, as people appreciated the other eight works contributing to his show New York in Print.
Chris will be continuing his illustration over the following days. The show was a great success, and we are very pleased be the latest addition to Chris’s highly credible catalogue of clients and collaborations.

Chris Dent’s New York in Print will now be exhibiting at gallery 7 from September 16.
The show features some work you may know and love, some new work and a live drawing - by that we mean Chris will be inking the NYC skyline direct onto the gallery wall over the course of a few days.
The private view starts at 7pm. If you’d like to come, please email gallery7@supersuperficial.com. Places are limited so it’s first come first serve.
The show will be open to the public from the following day.
